If you or a loved one is injured in an accident on or near the Lower West Side, getting medical care is integral to your case. It allows you to get the treatment you need while linking your injuries to the accident.

Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital (NGVH) is the only hospital that serves Manhattan’s Lower West Side.

Where Is Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital?

NGVH is located at 30 7th Ave., New York, NY 10011.

Parking is available through iPark at 101 West 12th St. between Sixth and Seventh Aves.

Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital has been known by several names since the doors opened in 2014. At its founding, it was known as Lenox Hill HealthPlex. It was later changed to Lenox Hill Greenwich Village until it was expanded to Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital in April 2025.

What to Expect When Receiving Care or Visiting NGVH

NGVH’s emergency department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It handles injuries and illnesses, including concussions, fractures, joint injuries, injuries from motor vehicle accidents, severe lacerations and burns, and occupational injuries. Doctors at NGVH can stabilize major traumas before transferring them to another hospital.

You can check in online or in person. When you check in, a nurse and an emergency department associate will register and triage you at the same time. You will then go into a private room to receive further treatment. Depending on the treatment you need, you may be admitted or transferred to another local hospital, such as Lenox Hill Hospital.

The hospital handles:

  • Concussions
  • Fractures
  • Joint injuries
  • Injuries from motor vehicle accidents
  • Serious cuts
  • Burns
  • Occupational injuries

You can pay for your care via your MyNorthwell patient portal or as a guest online. You need the account number or guarantor ID. The hospital offers payment plans and potential financial assistance.

Do I Need to Go to the Hospital?

You should head to the hospital if you have experienced or are experiencing:

  • Heavy bleeding
  • Confusion
  • Fainting
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Abdominal discomfort after an impact
  • Second-, third-, or fourth-degree burns
